The series also provides a supportive, collegial atmosphere that encourages personal development and professional growth.
At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:

  • Assess the emotional meaning of a student’s behavior and use this information to guide classroom interventions.
  • Apply enhanced individual and group counseling skills.
  • Conduct effective consultations with teachers, parents and administrators.
  • Create school-based programs that foster the growth of self-esteem in students and in faculty members.

Instructors are experienced school and child mental health professionals who understand the challenges of providing school services.
