In light of recent national events such as the presidential election and instances of civil unrest across the country, the Adelphi community has become a microcosm of the rest of the nation. Whether is it is in response to protest or the feeling of not having our voices heard, this event represents one of many opportunities for the AU community to come together in respectful and productive dialogue, where all perspectives are welcome and listening to each other is a valued commodity. It is an opportunity to talk honestly but respectfully to each other in the spirit of understanding and cooperation. This will be a round-table discussion led by skilled facilitators selected from the AU community. This event is supported by the Collaboration Project, Athletics Department, Student Affairs and CSI (including Greek Life and the Multicultural Clubs), the President’s Office, the Provost’s Office, the Center for African, Black and Caribbean Studies, Title IX Office and the University Diversity Committee. It is our hope to begin a journey together that respects difference (including different perspectives). Refreshments will be served.
