This seminar, with new case material and discussion topics for 2017, enables school psychologists and school social workers to expand their skills in all areas of clinical work in the schools. A focus will be on case material presented by the participants. Meaningful, practical readings and discussions will be offered. The series also provides a supportive, collegial atmosphere that encourages personal development and professional growth.

  • At the conclusion of this program, participants will be able to:
  • Assess the emotional meaning of a student’s behavior and use this information to guide classroom interventions.
  • Apply enhanced individual and group counseling skills.
Conduct effective consultations with teachers, parents and administrators.
  • Create school-based programs that foster the growth of self-esteem in students and in faculty members.

Instructors are experienced school and child mental health professionals who understand the challenges of providing school services.
