Matt Karaman ’93– Managing Director, Talent Acquisition at Clever Devices
Matt Karaman graduated Adelphi University with a BA in Business Management in 1993. Utilizing the services of Adelphi’s Career Center, Matt started his career in the Management Training Program for Enterprise Rent-A-Car. As his career progressed through Enterprise Rent-A-Car, the responsibilities of hiring and managing a staff turned Matt’s attention to Recruiting and Human Resources. After spending 7+ years as a technology Recruiter in staffing agencies, Matt moved his career to corporate recruiting for Marchon Eyewear in 2002, and eventually joined Cablevision’s HR team in 2004. Spending 11+ years in Cablevision and spin-off company AMC Networks HR organization handling all aspects of HR, staffing, Executive Recruiting and performance management, Matt has recently moved on as the Managing Director of Talent Acquisition for Clever Devices, a growing transit technology firm in Woodbury, NY.
Francesca Lee ’00– VP, Compensation and HR Reporting at IPG Media Brands
Fran Lee is a certified human resources professional with over 15 years of diversified experience. She has held positions in the HR functional areas of compensation, HRIS, staffing, and generalist. Fran currently serves as the Vice President of Compensation and HR Reporting at IPG Mediabrands. Fran holds a bachelor’s degree in business management from Adelphi University. She also holds a master’s degree in social service leadership from Fordham University.
Ally Zapantis ’03–Director of Human Resources at Ralph Lauren
Ally Zapantis graduated from Adelphi with a BA in English Education in 2000. Starting her career as a high school English teacher, she made a career change after obtaining a Master’s degree from Columbia University.
After focusing on a career in HR and in particular in the Retail field, she began her career at a recruiting agency and then moved to the corporate environment. In the past 10 years, she has worked at Liz Claiborne, Macy’s, New York & Company, Net-A-Porter, Tommy Hilfiger and now Ralph Lauren.
Ally started her career in HR mostly in the recruiting realm, but now has changed her focus to the Generalist space within Human Resources.
