The Adelphi University Library is organizing an app competition. Top prizes include Moto 360 smart watches and $600 worth of Amazon gift cards. Each team can be made up of Adelphi students only or a combination of students and faculty/staff and consist of up to four people per team (refer to official rules for more information). You do not have to have a team in advance to participate. The hackathon will take place over two days (Friday and Saturday) on March 13th and 14th in the Spring 2015 semester.
The goal for the competition is to generate ideas for any utility apps or mobile or desktop games that might be used in the library. Applications do not need to be mobile and can be web-based apps. We are looking for fresh ideas rather than completed apps and encourage all students, regardless of programming background, to participate. Several tools will be provided that can assist in putting apps together without programming knowledge.
