Join the Department of Music faculty at Adelphi University for their second annual Junior Audition Workshop!
The Department of Music at Adelphi University will be holding their second annual Junior Audition Workshop on Saturday, March 11, 2017. Prospective music students in their junior year of high school are invited to hone their skills in a “mock” audition for the Adelphi University Department of Music faculty.
This free workshop is geared towards emerging musicians interested in preparing for their upcoming college auditions. All students will receive insightful feedback and will learn proper audition etiquette.
In addition to the mock auditions, the Department of Music will host a Masterclass during the day with their faculty. The masterclass will be open to the public. Unfortunately, not every student will be able to perform in the masterclass. Students selected to participate in the masterclass will have the opportunity to perform their music selection in front of an audience and work one on one with the Department of Music faculty, receiving immediate feedback.
Students interested in being considered for participation in the Masterclass portion of the Junior Audition Workshop must register no later than Saturday, February 11, 2017.
Students who have indicated they would like to be considered for the Junior Audition Workshop Masterclass, please email email@example.com a copy of your repertoire list and/or music resume no later than Monday, February 13, 2017.
Selected students will be notified three weeks prior (Saturday, February 18, 2017) to the Junior Audition Workshop. If selected, the student will then be asked to email the title of the piece to be performed in the masterclass to firstname.lastname@example.org . Please limit the music selection to no more than five minutes.
