Adelphi University has been chosen as an official drug take-back site. The Take-Back Drug Day is open to the community.
This National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day is offered to provide the public with an opportunity to prevent pill abuse and theft by properly disposing of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs; no questions asked. The proper disposal of drugs also prevents them from becoming an environmental hazard in our water.
In the event you cannot drop off on Saturday, Public Safety has a box set-up for your convenience onFriday, October 21 from 8:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m. The early drop-off location will be located in the Office of Public Safety and Transportation in the lower level of Levermore Hall.
This event is a collaboration by Adelphi’s Student Counseling Center, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) program and Department of Public Safety with disposal handled by Nassau County Police Department and the DEA.Part of National Collegiate Alcohol Awareness Week.
This is an alcohol-free event. #PanthersCheerAlcoholAwareness
