Racial Justice Action in South Africa Today

racial-justice-matters-logoDr. Nokuthula Hlabangane, Professor of Anthropology at the University of South Africa (and visiting scholar at the City University of New York Graduate School) will offer a presentation on the student movement on campuses in South Africa this fall, and the Rhodes Must Fall project. This will be contextualized in a reflection about life in South Africa in the 20 years post-apartheid.

This event is part of the Racial Justice Matters initiative. Sponsored by the Departments of Sociology, Anthropology and Political Science, the University Diversity Committee, and the Center for African, Black and Caribbean Studies and the Collaboration Project.
