This workshop explores the five main approaches to co-teaching: one teach, one support, parallel teaching, alternative teaching, station teaching, and team teaching. In doing so, the workshop provides provides practical opportunities for teachers to engage in co-teaching simulations as well as co-planning.
The focus is on interdisciplinary collaboration to challenge and support English learners. A portion of the workshop is also devoted to examining more effective ways to communicate with parents and paraprofessionals. Teachers will become familiar with and experiment with basic technological tools for collaboration.
