The Hoffman Report: Where Are We Now and Where Are We Going?

Join us for a frank discussion of the findings of the investigation into the Presidential Task Force on Ethics and National Security and its implications for the field of psychology in the context of professional ethics and national security. The debate is ongoing as the Department of Defense and American Psychology Association (APA) work to define the role of psychologists in detainee operations moving forward. It is a dynamic situation that we all, as a psychological community, must help shape.

Advocacy Committee members will present the findings of the report, providing the context for our panel discussion to follow. Panelists will discuss their reactions to the report and answer questions from fellow panelists and members of the audience. The audience will then break into small groups to discuss what has been presented. Finally, the groups will share their discussions with the rest of the audience and the panelists for a final discussion of the topic.

All attendees must send a RSVP to
