| It gives me great pleasure to welcome the fourth outdoor Sculpture Biennial of 2006 to Adelphi University. This year-long exhibition - displayed throughout the landscaped arboretum gardens and pathways of the University's Garden City campus - reflects our continuing commitment to bring contemporary visual art to students and the community. Like the global reach of the artists represented in this outstanding exhibition, our University's fine arts program has achieved international acclaim. Lead by our distinguished faculty, our students are trained and mentored to hone their skills and pursue their dreams in outstanding facilities with extraordinary equipment. This remarkable exhibition will surely inspire our students, faculty, and the Long Island community.
I would like to offer special thanks to the director of Adelphi Universty Exhibitions, Professor Richard Vaux, Exhibition Curator Bill Shillalies, Art Collection Curator Eliz Alahverdian, and the Department of Art and Art History for bringing this exhibition to fruition.
