Adelphi University Undergraduates Present Research Projects at NCUR

Four Adelphi University students recently attended the Fifteenth National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) held April 25-27 at the University of Wisconsin, Whitewater.
The NCUR is an annual conference that allows undergraduate students in all areas of study to present their individual research papers or projects with the option to have their work published in the NCUR's journals.
Adam Wittestein '02, a math major, and co-author Tashi Sharma '04, presented their project "Frosh: An Expert System for Creating Class Schedules." Their adviser was Prof. Robert M. Siegfried from the Department of Mathematics and Computer Science.
Anthropology major Laura J. Gaydosh '03 presented "Anthropological Investigations on the Demographic Dynamics of a 9th BC/BCE Eastern Mediterranean Population" which was co-authored by Anna Sardis '05, who was unable to attend the conference. Prof. Anagnostis Agelarakis from the Anthropology department was the adviser.
Jennifer Puk '05, an English Major presented "The Power of Dreams and Memories." Her adviser was Prof. Raysa Amador from the Department of Languages and International Studies.
