Dr. Freud to deliver AU's Lindemann lecture in human development

Adelphi University is pleased to present the Lindemann Lecture in Human Development by Sophie Freud, Professor Emeritus of the School of Social Work at Simmons College on Wednesday October 16 at 8:00 PM Co-sponsored by the Adelphi University International Initiatives Committee, Professor Freud's lecture on "False Prophets" begins at 8:00 PM in the Ruth S. Harley Center University Ballroom, and is free and open to the public.

Author Sophie Freud continues to teach at Simmons and review cases for the Massachussetts Department of Social Services. A popular speaker on the international lecture circuit, Dr. Freud is about the same age her famous grandfather was when he granted the young Sophie audiences in his legendary study in Vienna, and specializes in exploring how people establish their identities and sense of self through categories that both cultivate and inhibit human development.
