Keynote Address: Henry Holden presents "The Misconceptions Continue. How The Media Represents People With Disabilities"
Henry Holden lectures extensively around the country on college campuses stressing inclusion of people with disabilities in Americas' society, and was selected as a finalist for 'Lecturer of the Year' by the Association for the Promotion of Campus Activities. Henry produced an award-winning documentary called "Look Whose Laughing", a comedy showcase that featured comedians with disabilities, including his own show "God Walks On Crutches". As an actor, Henry Holden has broken new ground by appearing in prime-time programming not specifically calling for an actor with a disability. He has acted on such television shows as T.J. Hooker, Hill Street Blues, Divorce Court, Duet, Knot's Landing, WIOU, BECKER, and many other programs. Most recently, Henry founded DIME (Disability In Media Everywhere), striving to eliminate the negative portrayals in the media of people with disabilities.
