Adelphi University Names Timothy Burton as Vice President for Finance and Treasurer
Burton has worked at Adelphi for eleven years in the Treasurer's Office and the Office of Business Affairs

Timothy Burton has been appointed Vice President for Finance and Treasurer at Adelphi University. In this position, he will be responsible for all fiscal operations, business affairs, contract administration, and risk management.
"Tim has served Adelphi for more than a decade, is technically excellent, has wonderful personal relationships on campus, and is a superb member of our senior team," said Adelphi University President Robert A. Scott.
Burton brings over eleven years of extensive financial and operational management experience in higher education to the position. Prior to joining Adelphi, he worked at Deloitte & Touche for thirteen years where he gained diverse public accounting experience, leaving as a Senior Audit Manager.
Burton states: "I am happy for the support that President Scott and the Board of Trustees have shown in me, and I look forward to many years of success as this institution continues to grow and flourish."
He has a BS degree from the State University of New York at Albany and is a resident of East Northport, where he serves as a member of the Northport/East Northport School District’s Board of Education.
