Adelphi University Presents Dance Adelphi Fall 2002

Adelphi University presents Dance Adelphi, with works staged and choreographed by Frank Augustyn, Sean Curran, Danny Grossman, Regina Larkin, and Alexandre Proia, November 5-10, 2002 in the Olmsted Theatre. Call the Box Office at 516.877.4010 for tickets.
Under the direction of Professor Frank Augustyn, Director of the Dance Department in Adelphi's Department of Performing Arts, choreographers representing many nations will present works performed by Adelphi students. Dance Adelphi will feature an eclectic group of choreographers. Works will range from new to classic and will feature a new work by our Harkness Foundation for Dance Grant recipient Sean Curran. Located in New York, the Harkness Foundation is committed to supporting the performing arts, especially dance. Its continous support has helped hundred of dance schools, emerging choreographers, and dance companies throughout the country.
Last year BACK STAGE said "It is worth the trip out to Long Island to see Adelphi University's spring dance concert!" The Fall shows promise to be just as exciting and guaranteed to have a few surprises! Dance Adelphi presents new choreography in the fall and spring. The Department of Performing Arts, under the Chairmanship of Nicholas Petron, prepares the directors, actors, dancers and choreographers of tomorrow. The program, one of the best in the region, attracts over 800 students.
