Adelphi University Hosts Three Music Performances by Students and Faculty Members

This March, the Adelphi University Music Department presents three performances by students, faculty, and alumni.
The Faculty Recital, featuring Pianist Jocelyn Swigger, will take place Thursday, March 18, at 7:00 PM in the Ruth S. Harley University Center, 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY. Ms. Swigger's piano recital will consist entirely of music by living composers.
A Grand Night for Singing, a Rogers and Hammerstein review, will take place in Adelphi's University Center Ballroom on Saturday, March 20. Showtimes are 2:00 PM and 8:00 PM. The review features a collection of songs by the creators of Oklahoma, The King and I, Carousel, and The Sound of Music. Alumnus Matt Gallagher returns to conduct the student cast of 12 from the piano.
On Tuesday, March 23, Adelphi will present A Student Musicale in the school's University Center at 5:00 PM. The Musicale is a relaxed concert by student instrumentalists and vocalists. The selections range from Bach to contemporary Broadway.
