Adelphi University Wins Top Industry Honors for Communications and Media Relations

Adelphi University has been recognized with a series of honors for its outstanding online and print communications.

Awards
Adelphi has been recognized by District II of The Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) with two Accolades Awards.  CASE District II is comprised of nearly 750 member institutions from Delaware, Maryland, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Washington, DC, West Virginia, Canada, the Virgin Islands, and other countries overseas.

  • Gold Accolade Award in the category of Student Recruitment Individual Publications for its 2006-2007 New Student Handbook
  • Silver Accolade Award for its recently created "Building Adelphi One Story At a Time" campaign brochure

Adelphi won three MarCom Creative Awards from the Association of Marketing and Communications Professionals.  More than 5,000 entries from across the United States and several foreign countries entered this year's competition.o    

  • Adelphi University Magazine won a Gold MarCom Creative Award for a magazine from an educational institution
  • Adelphi University Magazine earned an Honorable Mention in the Magazine Design category
  • eNews from AU won a Gold MarCom Creative Award in the Web Site/e-Zine category
  • Adelphi's September 4, 2006 New York Times story, "University Enjoys a Renaissance After 90's Strife," won a Gold MarCom Creative Award in the Media Relations/Publicity/Newspaper Placement category

Adelphi's Web site won awards from two prestigious organizations.  The International Academy of the Visual Arts, an invitation-only body consisting of top-tier professionals from a "Who's, Who" of acclaimed media, advertising, and marketing firms. And, The Web Marketing Association, an organization founded in 1997 to help set a high standard for Internet marketing and web development on the World Wide Web.
