Adelphi University is pleased to showcase a selection of paintings by Dawn Lee in Adelphi's Ruth S. Harley University Center Gallery and a variety of drawings in the Adele and Herbert J. Klapper Center for Fine Arts, 1 South Avenue, Garden City, NY, from March 2 through March 26, 2008. A free reception will be held on Thursday, March 6 at 6:00 p.m.
Ms. Lee’s work is inspired by nature. She spends a lot of time on beaches, mountains, and rivers. Her paintings, prints, and drawings have been exhibited throughout the New York metropolitan area, as well as nationally. She has lived and worked on Long Island since 1990. A native of Colorado, she received her B.F.A. degree in printmaking from Colorado State University. She moved to Brooklyn, New York to attend graduate school at Pratt Institute of Art.
The University Center Gallery is open Monday through Sunday, 9:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. The Adele and Herbert J.
