Adelphi University School of Nursing Draws Current National League for Nursing CEO as Keynoter

The Adelphi University School of Nursing, in conjunction with the Alpha Omega chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, is pleased to announce its fifth annual Nursing Leadership and Research Conference, "Nursing Leadership: Creating Harmony and Safety in the Workplace," on April 3, 2009 from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at The Woodlands, 1 Southwoods Road, Woodbury, NY. The purpose of the conference is to impart knowledge and ideas to today’s leaders to assist them in providing a safer and more pleasant environment to improve patient outcomes and employee satisfaction. Professionals in clinical practice, educational professionals, faculty, administrators, and students should attend.
The conference features keynote speaker Beverly Malone, Ph.D., R.N., FAAN, CEO of the National League for Nursing, and other prominent speakers and panelists in the field. In 2007, Dr. Malone was appointed to the helm of the organization dedicated to nurse faculty and leaders in nursing education. The organization offers faculty development, networking opportunities, testing and assessment, nursing research grants, and public policy initiatives. The day also features breakout sessions, exhibitors, and poster presentations. Opportunities to purchase raffles to win exciting prizes will also be available.
