Art Exhibition, "Recent Work," by Vartouhi Zerdelian-Pinkston at Adelphi University

Upcoming artist Vartouhi Zerdelian-Pinkston’s "Recent Work" will be exhibited at Adelphi University’s Swirbul Library Gallery from March 22 to June 30, 2009. A free reception will be held on Sunday, March 29, at 2:00 p.m. The collection features miniature hand-colored etchings and is a unique display of cultural identity through the art medium.
Winning her first art contest at the age of five, courtesy of the Armenian General Benevolent Union, Vartouhi Zerdelian-Pinkston has continued to make her mark in the art world. She started to hone her skills at Holy Martyrs Armenian Day School in Bayside New York, and graduated from the High School of Art & Design in Manhattan, where she majored in Illustration and Fashion Illustration. From there, she studied for six years at the Art Students League in New York City, and has gained notoriety across the globe for her work, which continues to win awards and draw further recognition.
