Veterans Welcome: Adelphi Recognized as a Military Friendly School
G.I. Jobs Magazine has named Adelphi a Military Friendly School for 2010, thanks in part to the University's participation in the Yellow Ribbon Program, a provision of the Post-9/11 Veterans Educational Assistance Act of 2008 that allows private universities to offer low to no-cost tuition benefits to veterans.

At a welcome breakfast on Wednesday, September 16, 2009, students, alumni, faculty, and staff who are veterans or are currently enlisted had an opportunity to network and learn about on-campus programs and services available for military students and their families. To further honor veterans, the University will hold a dedication ceremony on October 10, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. in front of the flagpole for the installation of a veterans rock, a gift of Joyce and John Phelan, Jr. '70, '87 (Hon.).
