Dear Class of 1966 50th Reunion celebrant,

On the occasion of the anniversary of your graduation, Adelphi University cordially invites you to the Class of 1966 50th Reunion!  Join your fellow graduates on June 3, and 4, 2016 for Reunion Weekend on Adelphi’s campus. We will have two days for you and your classmates to connect and reestablish those everlasting ties.

Your reunion committee — Michael Krolick, Barbara Desposito Weisz, Philip Heller, Bill Greenhut, and Margaret Olstad Cleary — and the Office of Alumni Relations have been hard at work planning this exciting event. With your enthusiastic support, it promises to be an unforgettable affair!

5:30 p.m. to    Welcome Reception with Adelphi President Christine M. Riordan             

7:30 p.m.         Join us back on campus with this casual start to the weekend’s festivities.                         


Saturday, June 4

9:00 a.m.         Registration and check-in: Pick up the weekend’s final schedule and visit the campus bookstore to stock up on Adelphi swag!

10:00 a.m.       Private campus tour for the Class of 1966.      


11:00 a.m.       50th Reunion Lecture – A book reading of A History of Adelphi University (2015) with author and professor of English Jennifer Fleischner, Ph.D.: Professor Fleischner will read from the recently completed University history with special selections for the Class of 1966.  Her other research interests include historical fiction, biography and American slavery.  She joined the faculty in 2002.


12:00 p.m.       All Reunion Barbecue                                                                                 


1:30 p.m.         50th Reunion Lecture – What happened to Pluto? :Since the Apollo project put a man on the moon, space exploration has taken us to the edge of the universe and somehow we lost Pluto.  Hear about the findings of recent adventures to Mars, Pluto and beyond from Andreas Karpf, M.S. ’94 (Physics).

3:30 p.m.         Backstage Pass with Nick Petron- A behind the scenes tour of the Adelphi University Performing Arts Center


6:00 p.m.         50th Reunion Reception, Dinner and Dancing: This evening includes a one hour cocktail reception followed by dinner including dessert, coffee, wine, beer and nonalcoholic beverages.  Dancing to the music of DJ Shocase.
