Adelphi Chorus and a Thank You to Michael Hume

Adelphi alumni are invited to Michael Hume’s final performance with the Adelphi Chorus on Sunday, April 26, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. The Adelphi Chorus will perform Ralph Vaughan Williams cantata Dona Nobis Pacem, a passionate plea for peace that remains one of his most popular works. Written for chorus with soprano and baritone soloists, Dona Nobis Pacem combines powerful and haunting poetry by Walt Whitman juxtaposed with comforting words from scripture.

Tickets can be purchased online or by calling the box office at (516) 877-4000.

From the Best of Broadway to Gospel masses, Michael Hume has energized the stage with magical performances. Before he leaves Adelphi at the end of this season, we want to thank him for bringing the world of music through song to Adelphi audiences with a post-concert reception. If you plan to return for this thank you, please let us know by emailing alumni@adelphi.edu with the subject line “Adelphi Chorus.”
