Can Castles Food Drive


Rules

On March 10, 2020, CSI will email organizations a designated location to bring their materials on March 25 between the hours 9:00–10:30 a.m.

On the day of the event, the organization’s locations will be clearly marked. Absolutely no cans will be counted towards overall total after 10:30 a.m., with no exceptions. “Castle” building will take place from 12:00pm-12:30pm. At 12:30pm, “time” will be called, and all building MUST come to a stop whether all items were used or not.

You will have 30-minutes (timed by CSI) to build. Please understand this is not a perfect world and we might not start exactly at 12pm. Regardless, you will have 30 minutes. At 12:35 p.m., judges will judge the castles on creativity, structure, and how many cans were used

Scoring

Winners will be selected in the following categories:

  • Which organization constructed the most creative castle (based off a rubric from outside judges)
  • Which organization brought the most cans.
  • Which organization brought the most items overall.
  • Please note: totals will be determined based on the number of items brought/divided by active members on the rosters. For example: if you have 32 active members and you collected 406 items it will be counted as 12 items per member.

Prize

Winners will get $100 donated to a philanthropy of their choice.
