Contraception: Making Informed Choices

This event has been cancelled.
Part of the Health Services Center’s Work-Life Wellness Certificate for all undergraduate and graduate students.

Participants are given an overview of modern contraceptive options including hormonal, barrier, and behavioral methods so that they can make informed, responsible decisions about their sexual health. As part of this comprehensive workshop, abstinence is discussed as the only fool-proof method of pregnancy prevention.

Michael Groover, Planned Parenthood of Nassau County’s Coordinator of College Initiatives, is an excellent facilitator whose specialty is working with college youth and engaging their minds in critical thinking on the topic of sexual and reproductive health including healthy relationships and healthcare. As an MSW candidate, Mr. Groover brings sensitivity and knowledge to encourage people to live empowered and healthy lives.
