Perry Woo, Ph.D.: “Business of Science” Horace McDonell Speaker Series

A joint initiative of the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business and the College of Arts and Sciences, the Business of Science and Innovation Horace McDonell Speaker Series is designed to introduce students to professionals and practitioners with background in the sciences who have gone on to build successful careers in the business side of enterprises.

perry-wooPerry Woo, Ph.D. is a patent attorney in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnological arts. Prior to his legal career, he was a technologist at Genzyme Genetics. 

Dr. Woo holds a Ph.D. in Chemistry from the State University of New York, at Stony Brook and a M.S. in Biology from Adelphi University. Throughout his advanced academic career, Perry has conducted research in biochemistry, plant biology, molecular biology, and chemistry. His research included use of advanced technologies such as NMR, fluorescence techniques, bioconjugate chemistry, and high throughput screening methodologies.

Dr. Woo is admitted to practice in New York and Connecticut and before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

He is an attorney with the law firm of Hoffman and Baron.
