About the Speakers


Jennifer Boglioli

As Sr. Associate Director of Alumni Relations at Adelphi University, Jennifer Boglioli assists in planning and implementing relevant events and programming for Adelphi’s more than 90,000 alumni.  In her role, Boglioli has focused on mentorship and strengthening students’ leadership skills. She assisted in the development of the C.O.A.C.H. (Count on Alumni for Career Help) program, an alumni-student mentoring program. She also helped establish the Leadership Certificate Program, through which Adelphi students and alumni gain leadership and professional skills through workshops and networking.  Additionally she has also served as an adjunct instructor, teaching an internship prep seminar.

Boglioli graduated with a B.S. in Communication Arts from St. John’s University and an M.A. in Speech Communication with an additional certificate in Conflict Mediation from Syracuse University and a Certificate of Advanced Graduate Study in Human Resources from Adelphi University.  While at Syracuse, Boglioli was a teaching assistant, teaching classes in Public Speaking, Argumentation, Interpersonal Communication and Presentational Speaking for the Business Student.  She began her career at Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre as a Development Assistant and came to Adelphi after working for three years as the Assistant Director of Development at St. John’s School of Law in Jamaica, NY. In addition to her job as Assistant Director of Development, Boglioli was also an Adjunct Instructor of Speech Communication for St. John’s College of Arts and Sciences.

Maria Casey

Maria Casey is back at her alma mater serving as the Alumni and Graduate Student Counselor at the Center for Career Development in Garden City.  Her career has been in the non profit and education sectors working with passionate people who want to make a positive impact on their communities.

She delivers career coaching and strategies for alumni and students as well as serves on the committee that administers the Jaggar Comminuty Fellows and P.R.E.P. programs.  

She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology from Adelphi University, a Master of Science degree in counseling from Long Island University, served nineteen years in the nonprofit field, and obtained a personal coaching certificate from New York University


Leadership Certificate Program LogoAbout the Leadership Certificate Program

The Leadership Certificate Program is an interdepartmental initiative hosted by the Center for Career and Professional Development, the Center for Student Involvement, the Office of Alumni Relations and the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business.

Its goal is to offer Adelphi undergraduate and graduate students opportunities to develop leadership and professional skills. Participants are able to attend workshops on a wide variety of topics during the course of the year. 

Requirements for Students

To participate in the Leadership Certificate Program, you must RSVP for a minimum of six events. Each student must complete the workshops within the academic year. Events are added throughout the year.
