Lavender and Multicultural Graduation

You deserve to feel welcomed, honored and respected—and that is our goal at Adelphi.

Lavender and Multicultural Graduation is a celebration which recognizes the accomplishments of graduating students who identify as a member or ally of the LGBTQ+ community, Multicultural community, CSTEP Program and Mentoring Program.

The evening includes dinner, acknowledgment of each graduate who registers and insights from alumni and students on their experiences at Adelphi.

What is Multicultural Graduation?

A ceremony that recognizes the academic achievements and contributions of underrepresented students at Adelphi University.

Students who have applied and registered for graduation (Spring, Summer or Fall) can participate.

What is Lavender Graduation?

A ceremony conducted on numerous campuses to honor lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer and ally students and to acknowledge their achievements and contributions to Adelphi University.

Students who have applied and registered for graduation (Spring, Summer or Fall), and identify as being LGBTQ+ and Ally can participate.

This recognition ceremony is not intended to replace the official Commencement Ceremony.
