Leadership in Human Rights

Join us in exploring opportunities in Human Rights Leadership With speaker Ryan Kaminski.

Ryan Kaminski is the Senior Program Manager for Human Rights at UNA-USA. Previously Ryan was a research associate with the Council on Foreign Relations’ International Institutions and Global Governance program and a U.S. Fulbright Fellow (Hong Kong). He has also held positions with Papua New Guinea’s UN Mission, Amnesty International, and Lawrence Livermore National Lab. He is currently a research consultant with Friends of the Global Fight Against AIDS, TB and Malaria. Ryan was awarded the Columbia University Jal Pavry Award for Outstanding Research in International Peace and Understanding, U.S. Department of Homeland Security Graduate Fellowship, and Leo Nevas Human Rights Award. He has published in the Yale Journal of International Affairs, Reuters, Atlantic.Com, The Hill, Houston Chronicle, Georgetown Journal of International Affairs, and CFR’s working paper series. Ryan received his BA from the University of Chicago and MIA from Columbia University (SIPA).

Leadership Certificate Program LogoAbout the Leadership Certificate Program

The Leadership Certificate Program is an interdepartmental initiative hosted by the Center for Career and Professional Development, the Center for Student Involvement, the Office of Alumni Relations and the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business.

Its goal is to offer Adelphi undergraduate and graduate students opportunities to develop leadership and professional skills. Participants are able to attend workshops on a wide variety of topics during the course of the year. 

Requirements for Students

To participate in the Leadership Certificate Program, you must RSVP for a minimum of six events. Each student must complete the workshops within the academic year. Events are added throughout the year.
