Learning Agility: A Key Skill for Workplace Success

Our world is changing more rapidly and is far more complex than at any other time in human history. Jobs that exist today may be replaced by jobs that haven’t yet been invented! This seminar focuses on how to develop learning agility, a critical competency you will need to thrive in our global world of continuous and accelerating change.

Mary NummelinMary Nummelin, founder and president of The Locus Group International, a management consulting firm, has over 25 years’ senior leadership experience in human resources and organizational development. She has worked in small to large-sized corporations in a variety of industries, including healthcare, consumer packaged goods and professional services. Mary’s expertise includes learning and development, executive coaching, and business process improvement. She earned her BA and MA in History from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. 

At Adelphi, Mary is an adjunct professor in the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business, where she teaches courses in human resources and learning and development.

This event is part of Adelphi’s Leadership Certificate Program. However, you do not need to be a part of the Leadership Certificate Program to attend this event.

The Leadership Certificate Program is an interdepartmental initiative hosted by the Center for Career and Professional Development, the Center for Student Involvement, the Office of Alumni Relations and the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business.

Its goal is to offer Adelphi undergraduate and graduate students opportunities to develop leadership and professional skills. Participants are able to attend workshops on a wide variety of topics during the course of the year. 

Requirements for Students

To participate in the Leadership Certificate Program, you must RSVP for a minimum of six events. Each student must complete the workshops within the academic year. Events are added throughout the year.
