Making the Transition to Google Docs & Sheets, plus Tips and Tricks

This workshop will focus on learning how to use Google Docs for spreadsheet creation and collaboration for business, academic and personal use. There will also be tips and tricks for some intro and intermediate skills in Google Sheets to help you organize data and details. We will also find the equivalent functions used in Excel, such as basic formatting, sorting, filtering, find/replace, hiding/unhiding, freezing/unfreezing, and conditional formatting.

What we’ll cover:

  • Use Google Docs and Sheets
  • Edit and format a document
  • Use functions to calculate your results
  • How to convert Word into Google Docs
  • How to convert Excel into Google Sheets
  • Copy functions to other cells
  • How to share the spreadsheet with collaborators
