NARCAN Training

Part of the Health Services Center’s Work-Life Wellness Certificate for all undergraduate and graduate students.

This workshop will cover the current heroin epidemic plaguing this nation and the life-saving action of administering NARCAN to possible opioid overdoses. You can save a life!

This workshop is provided by a social justice organization representative and attendees will be provided with a NARCAN kit after being instructed on use of the materials in the kit. This is a first aid-life saving workshop.

Presented by Sandy, a first responder for overdose victims Nassau and Suffolk County, in partnership with Professor Catherine M. Forker, M.S. health sciences and the Nassau County ADA Office, Heroin Task Force.

About the Work-Life Wellness Certificate Program

The Work-Life Wellness Certificate Program is an initiative hosted by Health Services Center.

Its goal is to assist Adelphi undergraduate and graduate students in developing skills to bring with them for life after college. This program will enable students to evaluate potential areas of need through a wellness survey, and will address 6 different topic areas.
