Native Plant Garden in Earle Quad outside Harvey Hall

Native Plant Garden Expansion

In 2017, Matthias Foellmer, Ph.D., professor of biology, was concerned with the declining numbers of native pollinators on Long Island. So he and Assistant Professor of Biology Alexander Heyl, Ph.D., Associate Director of Facilities Robert Conaghan and his staff, and facilities planner/architect Jurgita Maciunaite created Adelphi’s first native plant garden. This garden supports our local ecosystems of animals and pollinators like bees and butterflies.

Join us as we clear ground to expand the borders of our garden and plant more native greenery.
