Open Access Journals: What You Need To Know Workshop with Lunch

Open Access (OA) journals are gaining popularity among scholars in all disciplines. OA publications enable faster dissemination of research work and accelerate recognition for scholars. As OA publishing opportunities continue to grow, it becomes necessary for researchers to monitor and investigate OA journals’ qualities and business models before they make decisions to publish their work in OA journals. This presentation will discuss different types OA journals, the business models of OA publications, and the advantages and disadvantages of Open Access publishing.
