Recovery Talks: Community Listening Forum on Addiction and Recovery

Adelphi’s School of Social Work and the Long Island Recovery Association (LIRA) have organized a community forum on addiction and recovery.

lira_logoThis community forum will provides wonderful opportunities for faculty members, students as well as Long Island community members to learn about the current trends of addiction in Long Island, access to care and treatment and also to gain insights about the current policies in the addiction treatment field.

The event is open to all students, faculty and community members. Panelists will include Richard Buckman, a national leader of the recovery movement, and Nicole Carey and Angela Piccininni, two clinicians who work in the addiction treatment field.

At this event, you’ll gain insight on:

  • Trends in addiction and substance abuse
  • Access to care
  • Current social policies
