Science and Faith in Harmony: Creation, Science and The Saint John’s Bible

Cathedral of the IncarnationIn this talk, research astrophysicist Dr. Anton M. Koekemoer, will draw some interesting analogies between the discoveries of the scientific advancements that human kind has made in astronomy and how it aligns with the faith of Christianity.

Dr. Koekemoer highlights some of the exciting astronomical discoveries about our universe, including distant galaxies, black holes, giant clouds of star formations and other discoveries revealed by the Hubble Space Telescope and other observatories. He also presents the Hubble images that were used in the beautiful illustrations in The Saint John’s Bible. He will share some personal reflections, from his own perspective as a Christian, on how our scientific understanding of this wonderful universe can be reconciled in harmony with religion to enrich our spiritual lives and our relationship with God.

The reception will start at 6:00 p.m. It will be followed by the event which starts at 7:00 p.m.
