Stories We Carry: Conversations that Create Community

Adelphi University is pleased to invite you to Stories We Carry, a special facilitated community event of veterans and civilians to share the impact of war from every perspective. Whether or not you’ve served your country, cared for or known a veteran who has, war connects us all.

Stories We Carry , an MHA-NYC project, is a national community building initiative that brings veterans and civilians together to openly share stories and misperceptions about military service and reintegration, so that we, collectively, will have a greater sense of shared responsibility, service, and support.

We believe that what we don’t know can and does hurt us. That’s why we are dedicated to two simple ideas: storytelling is a powerful agent of social change and conversations can create community.

Stories We Carry is not Therapy. Political. Judgmental
