The Interplay Between Art and Mathematics” with Professor Lee Stemkoski, PhD

In this presentation, we will take a visual tour of mathematically inspired art, including the geometric patterns of the Alhambra, the “impossible constructions” and “transformation prints” of M.C. Escher, and the work of modern mathematical artists. We will also discuss mathematical-artistic constructs and concepts, such as the Golden Ratio, Linear Perspective, Symmetry, Fractal Geometry, and Dimension.

This event is free with Museum admission and open to the public, but registration is required.
