The Trayvon Martin Tragedy: A Town Hall Panel Discussion for Students, Faculty, Staff, and Administrators

Join us for a faculty/student panel presentation and open discussion about the Trayvon Martin tragedy. The incident has touched a nerve in America, unsettling our sense of who we are as a nation. While the events and circumstances that surround this tragedy continue to unfold, there is a lot that we know, both historically and in real time, that asks all of us to take a reflective view of the historical, cultural, political and legal implications of this case. The Town Hall will include an opportunity for the participants to share related activities and action steps.Panelists include:

  • Dr. Melanie Bush
  • Nicole Bruno
  • Dr. Jennifer Durham
  • Dr. Jacqueline Johnson
  • Christopher Ladka
  • Dr. Kirkland Vaughans
  • Jamal Wyse

Facilitator: Nana-Adjoa Ofori

Co-sponsored by the university Diversity Committee, the Provost’s Office and the Collaboration Project.
