Valerie Calabro

Valerie Calabro, M.A. ’00 is senior director of organizational development at Veeco Instruments, Inc., where she is responsible for global sales human resource, organization development and SAP success factors. Veeco designs, manufactures, and markets thin film process equipment that enables high-tech electronic device production and development. Prior to her coming to Veeco in 2006, she held positions in talent management at Reed Business Information and The McGraw-Hill Companies. Calabro holds a B.A. in Psychology from Siena College and an M.A. in Psychology from Adelphi University.

There will be a light social immediately following the lecture in University Center, Room 212.

Part of the Practitioner’s Perspective Lecture Series and the Leadership Certificate Program. Registration is only required for Leadership Certificate Program Credit.

Leadership Certificate Program LogoAbout the Leadership Certificate Program

The Leadership Certificate Program is an interdepartmental initiative hosted by the Center for Career and Professional Development, the Center for Student Involvement, the Office of Alumni Relations and the Robert B. Willumstad School of Business.

Its goal is to offer Adelphi undergraduate and graduate students opportunities to develop leadership and professional skills. Participants are able to attend workshops on a wide variety of topics during the course of the year. 

Requirements for Students

To participate in the Leadership Certificate Program, you must RSVP for a minimum of six events. Each student must complete the workshops within the academic year. Events are added throughout the year.
