Spirit Squad

What is the Spirit Squad?

The objective of the Spirit Squad is to create a sense of pride through the Adelphi Family. Spirit squad members are catalysts for spreading information and excitement regarding campus events. The Spirit Squad includes students, alumni, faculty and staff who embody Adelphi Pride. Spirit Squad members are peer brand ambassadors. Spirit Squad members can participate from anywhere in the world – as there are many ways to get involved and not all opportunities require an in person commitment.

Perks of being a Spirit Squad member:

  • Spirit Squad swag throughout the year 
  • Special ticket offers for on and off campus experiences
  • Participation in certain events targeted for First-Year, future and current Students, Alumni and community members.

How it works: Register to join the Spirit Squad

  1. Receive emails in coordination with chosen interests
  2. Throughout the year Spirit Squad members are asked to help promote and participate in certain events such as Adelphi Spirit Weekend, Welcome Weekend, Midnight Madness, Women’s Leadership Conference, Giving Day, Relay for Life, Accepted Students Day(s), etc.
  3. This is done through:
    • Personal social media
    • Word of mouth
    • Advertising tables (when applicable)
    • Email signatures
    • Personal outreach (phone calls, emails, etc.)
    • Event Assistance
  4. Squad members will be asked to communicate their outreach efforts back via an online form.  Squad members to do so will receive swag for the event (pin, scarf t-shirt).
  5. Certain events will have exclusive perks for Spirit Squad members such as photo ops and/or a section specifically for squad members and their guests.
